01 / The mechanism

Open with one push. The spring does the rest.

A barrier that stands open is no barrier. That's why the Sperreport is spring-loaded: the arm swings aside as you pass — and closes itself behind you. Every time.

01

Self-closing spring mechanism

The coil spring in the hinge always returns the arm to the closed position. No gates left open by mistake, no zones quietly ‘leaking’ — the barrier is in place even when people are in a hurry.

02

Telescopic arm — 0.9 to 1.8 metres

Standard width 0.9 m, extendable to 1.8 m. One gate covers everything from narrow stair access points to wide passageways — with red/white reflective striping that shows up in all lighting conditions.

03

The sign sits where the decision is made

Integrated sign holder in the centre of the arm. The message — ‘Access forbidden’, ‘To enter contact DM on CH 1’ — meets the eye exactly where someone is deciding whether to enter.

02 / Why Sperreport

Barrier tape doesn't do the job.

Most risk areas are ‘secured’ with tape, sticky tape or loose chain. It looks temporary — because it is.

Improvised barriers

  • Tape and sticky tape snap, fade and are left hanging
  • ‘Opened’ by being torn down — and rarely put back up
  • Loose hooks and chain are themselves a dropped-object risk
  • Looks untidy during audits and client visits

Result: a ‘barrier’ no one trusts.

Sperreport

  • A physical gate in powder-coated steel — built to withstand weather, salt and heavy use
  • Controlled opening — and closes itself after every pass
  • Standardised and recognisable — everyone understands the boundary
  • Reusable for years — low lifecycle cost

Result: a barrier that does the job. Every day.

03 / The product line

Four products. One system.

All built in powder-coated steel for tough environments — and all can be customised in size, colour and design.

Sign Holder

A robust frame for HSE and zone signs — integrated on the gate or freestanding. The sign sits where the decision is made, not ten metres away.

05 / HSE & regulations

Built for barrier management.

Physical barriers are not ‘tidying up’ — they are a barrier element grounded in regulation. The Sperreport is designed to fit right in.

Styringsforskriften § 5

A visible barrier element

Personnel must know the barriers and their function. A standardised, recognisable gate is a barrier everyone understands — unlike improvised tape.

Red zone · Offshore Norge

Controlled entry through a gate

Recommended practice for the red zone on the drill floor requires physical barriers with controlled access. The Sperreport enforces the zone physically — every time.

DROPS / DFU 21

No loose parts

Loosely hung chain and hooks are themselves a dropped-object risk. A permanently mounted gate with spring return removes the problem at the source.

Barriers as a permit condition

Work permits often require physical barriers before work can begin. Fast, repeatable barriers mean quicker start-up — without non-conformances.

«A gate that closes itself is a barrier that is always in place.»
