Sperreport Sideways
Our most popular solution. A spring-loaded swing gate that opens with a single push and closes itself behind you — no heavy lifting or complicated mechanisms. Particularly well suited where you need to open and close frequently throughout the working day.
How it works
The gate is mounted on a post or railing with a spring-loaded hinge. The arm swings to the side as you pass through, and the coil spring always returns it to the closed position — no gates left open by mistake. Because the movement is sideways, the gate takes up almost no depth.
Self-closing
The coil spring in the hinge returns the arm to the closed position after every passage.
Minimal depth required
The swing movement goes sideways, so the gate takes up almost no space in the room.
Quick to use
A single push is enough — no heavy lifting or complicated mechanisms in daily use.

How wide is a Sperreport Sideways gate?
The standard gate is 0.9 metres wide, and the telescopic arm can be extended to 1.8 metres — so the same gate covers everything from narrow stairway access points to wide passages.
What is the lead time?
The standard variant is kept in stock and normally delivered within 1 week. Lead time for custom sizes is agreed at the time of ordering.
Can the gate be customised to specific sizes and colours?
Yes. The standard variant is kept in stock for fast delivery, but we also custom-make gates to the customer's sizes, fixing points and preferred colour.
Does installation require drilling into the floor?
The gate is permanently mounted on a post or railing. Get in touch for a specific assessment of fixing points for your building.
